In short
- The free-session form asks for your name, phone number and club, so we can contact you about your free session and our memberships. Each request is also emailed to our team.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no cookies while you browse the site.
- We never sell your details or share them for marketing.
- Ask us any time to see, correct or delete them: info@goodlifefitnesslb.com.
Who we are
This website belongs to Goodlife Fitness Lebanon, which runs gyms in Jal El Dib, Kaslik, Ain El Remmeneh and Aley. We are responsible for the personal details handled through it. For anything about your privacy, write to info@goodlifefitnesslb.com.
When you ask for a free session
The free-session form (“claim your free day pass”) asks for:
- your name,
- your phone number,
- the club you would like to visit.
The free session is for people who live in Lebanon and are not Goodlife members yet, one per person.
With your request we also record when you sent it and how many times the same number has asked before. As we follow up, staff add a status (new, contacted, joined, not interested), whether and when the free session was used, and short notes. Our website does not store your IP address, device or location with your request.
We use these details to:
- contact you by phone or WhatsApp to arrange your free session;
- contact you about our memberships — for example, if your number has already had its free session;
- keep to one free session per person: we check the number against earlier requests at all our clubs, and staff note whether the free session was used;
- keep short notes of our follow-up (for example, that we called you).
If a number has already had its free session, the form says so to whoever enters it — so please only enter your own number.
Each new request is emailed straight away to our team’s mailbox, so we can call you back quickly.
Owners see all requests; each club’s manager sees the requests for their club. To apply the one-free-session rule, staff at any club can check whether a number has already used its free session. Staff can download the requests they are allowed to see as a spreadsheet to work from. We do not add you to mailing lists, and we only contact you about your free session and our memberships. If we message you on WhatsApp, WhatsApp (Meta) handles that message under its own privacy policy.
When you browse this site
- No cookies are set while you browse. (The staff area uses one sign-in cookie, only for staff.)
- No analytics, ads or tracking of any kind, no third-party scripts and no web fonts. Everything the page loads comes from this website itself.
- Our latest Instagram post on the homepage is a copy kept on our own server, so your browser does not contact Instagram unless you click through to it.
- Your IP address is used by our server to stop abuse — for example, to limit how many requests one connection can send in a few minutes. It is held in memory only and cleared within about an hour. It is only written down if you try to sign in to the staff area: failed sign-in attempts, including the email address typed, are logged for security and kept for up to 12 months.
- The company that hosts this website keeps standard technical server logs (such as IP addresses, the pages and addresses requested, browser type and time) for a limited time, for security and to keep the service running, and may produce visitor statistics from them.
Links to other services
Some buttons take you elsewhere: Instagram, Google Maps for directions, your phone to call a club, or your email app to write to us. Once you follow one of those links, that service’s own privacy policy applies. When you leave this site, your browser is told not to share which page you were on.
Our Instagram post
Our homepage shows the latest post from our own Instagram account. To do this, our server connects to that account through Meta’s official Instagram API, using an access key kept only on our server. Every 30 minutes it reads our account’s username and ID and our five most recent posts (picture, caption, link and date). We keep only the newest post that has a picture: a re-processed copy of the picture, its caption, link and date. Older copies are deleted when a newer post replaces them, and everything is deleted if we disconnect the account. No information about you is sent to Meta by this site. If a post shows you and you want it taken off our homepage, write to info@goodlifefitnesslb.com and we will remove it (it will not come back at the next update).
Photos and coaches
Our branch pages show our coaches’ names, roles and photos; we only publish these with our coaches’ agreement. Photos of our clubs, class schedules and our Instagram posts may show members or staff. Every photo we put online through our dashboard, including our copy of the Instagram post, is re-processed first, which removes hidden details such as the camera, date and location.
If you appear in a photo on this site and would like it removed, write to info@goodlifefitnesslb.com. Once we remove it, it disappears from the site straight away and from browser caches within about a week. Search engines and link previews (for example in WhatsApp) may show an old copy for a while; if you want, we will ask Google to remove it.
Staff accounts
For our team: a staff account holds your name, email, role and club. Your password is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form, never in readable text. If you turn on two-step sign-in, its setup key is stored so codes can be checked, and your recovery codes are stored scrambled. The dashboard keeps the time of your last activity in your browser, and our server records when each sign-in started and was last active, to sign you out after 15 minutes away (and after 12 hours in any case).
For security, the dashboard keeps an activity log of sign-ins and sign-outs, failed sign-in attempts, spreadsheet downloads and changes made (for example to a coach’s profile, a staff account or our Instagram connection), with the time, the email address used and the IP address. It does not contain visitors’ phone numbers or names. Entries are kept for up to 12 months. Owners can read this log; nobody can edit it from the dashboard.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade personal details, and we do not share them for anyone else’s marketing. They are handled by our own team and stored on the server that hosts this website. The one outside service involved is our team’s email: each new free-session request is emailed to a mailbox provided by Google (Gmail), which stores those emails for us under its own terms. We would only disclose your details to anyone else if the law required us to.
How long we keep it
- Free session requests are kept while they are needed to follow up and to know who has already had a free session. We delete yours whenever you ask.
- Backup copies of our records are made once a day, and we keep the 14 most recent, so a deleted request is gone from our backups once 14 newer daily copies have been made — normally about two weeks. Our hosting company may keep its own backups of the server for a limited time.
- Spreadsheet copies that staff download stay on a work device only while they need them and are not uploaded to other online services. When you ask us to delete your details, we delete them from those copies too.
- Request emails to our team mailbox are kept while we need them to follow up. When you ask us to delete your details, we delete those emails too.
- Emails you send us stay in our mailbox for as long as we need them to answer you.
- The staff activity log is kept for up to 12 months.
- Staff accounts are kept until the person leaves and the account is deleted.
How we protect it
Only staff with an account can see free-session requests on the website — managers only for their own club — and every staff account is protected by a password, with optional two-step sign-in. The request emails go only to our team’s own mailbox. Staff are signed out after a period of inactivity. The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
What you can ask us
You can ask us, at any time and free of charge, to:
- tell you what details we hold about you;
- correct them (we delete the wrong request and enter it again correctly);
- delete them;
- stop contacting you (we then delete your requests).
Write to info@goodlifefitnesslb.com and include the phone number your request is about, or ask the staff at any of our clubs. We act on it for every request from that number, at all our clubs. We may call that number to confirm it is you before we act.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal details, we will update this page and the date below.
